Meet Todd Turner

Serving the Church by Helping Christians Heal, Grow, and Live with Purpose After Divorce

UnYoked Ministries was born out of one of the most difficult seasons of my life.

After walking through my own divorce, I discovered something that surprised me. While many churches faithfully teach God’s beautiful design for marriage, far fewer are equipped to walk alongside people after divorce. Christians often find themselves navigating grief, loneliness, uncertainty, and difficult questions with very little practical, biblically grounded guidance.

I know that journey because I’ve lived it.

What God has taught me through those experiences has become the foundation of this ministry.

My desire is not simply to help people survive divorce. It is to help them become faithful followers of Jesus Christ who discover healing, renewed purpose, and lasting hope through God’s Word and the ministry of the local church.

Why I Started UnYoked Ministries

Divorce changes lives.

It affects marriages, children, families, friendships, finances, churches, and entire communities. While there are many resources focused on marriage, I saw a significant need for resources that help Christians faithfully navigate life after divorce without compromising biblical truth.

That is why I founded UnYoked Ministries.

Our mission is to equip individuals with practical, Scripture-centered resources while helping churches confidently care for people experiencing divorce and its aftermath.

We believe churches should never have to choose between truth and grace. The example of Jesus calls us to faithfully embrace both.

My Biblical Convictions

Everything we create at UnYoked Ministries begins with a commitment to God’s Word.

I believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word of God.

I believe marriage is God’s good design, established as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman.

I believe the local church is God’s primary instrument for making disciples.

I believe every person bears the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.

And I believe no life is beyond God’s ability to redeem, restore, and use for His glory.

Serving the Church

For more than two decades, I have had the privilege of serving churches, Christian ministries, nonprofits, and Kingdom-minded organizations through digital strategy, technology, fundraising, communications, and leadership consulting.

Throughout those years, one passion has remained constant: helping ministries communicate the truth of God’s Word more effectively.

UnYoked Ministries brings together my personal journey, ministry experience, and love for the local church into one focused mission: equipping churches to care well for people whose lives have been impacted by divorce.

Our resources are designed to support pastors, elders, ministry leaders, counselors, small group leaders, and volunteers as they minister with biblical conviction and Christlike compassion.

We do not encourage divorce or minimize its consequences. Instead, we seek to help people respond to life’s hardships with repentance where needed, wisdom, obedience, spiritual growth, and hope in Jesus Christ.

Our prayer is that every church we serve will be better equipped to love hurting people while faithfully proclaiming God’s truth.

A Personal Note

Outside of ministry, I’m a grateful father, grandfather, podcast host, consultant, and lifelong learner. I live in Frisco, Texas, where I enjoy serving my local church, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and encouraging Christian leaders.

More than any title or accomplishment, I simply want my life to point people to Jesus Christ and encourage His Church.
